Hi! My name is Amy Schwartz and I am originally from Lynchburg, Virginia.  I met my husband while in college and we lived in Blacksburg, Virginia for 12 years while he finished school.  During those 12 years we added 5 kids to our family!  Taylor is 16, Jonas- 15, Mason-14, Sullivan-11 and Carrington is 8!  We are currently stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina where my husband works as a flight surgeon.  We have lived here 2 years and absolutely love it!
I fell in love with running when I won the 6th grade cake run (don’t judge, I still run for cake!) with a time of 6:50.  Because of that wonderful mile I ran track all through middle and high school as well as cross country.  I also swam on the schools team and played soccer (badly, ask me one day!).  561354_10151103408331211_220910155_nSince graduating high school many years ago, being active has still been important to me.  I love to run and will try most exercise programs at least once.  I have crossfitted off and on for 5 years, run many half marathons, participated in the Run for the Heroes, Run Across Georgia (RAG) and play soccer with the kids I coach.
I graduated from Columbus State University with a bachelors in Health Science in May of 2014.  During that program I was able to take Kinesiology, Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition, School Health and many other classes that I found to be so interesting.  I hold a group fitness certificate from the American Council of Exercise and am CPR and AED certified.11010504_10103494679241643_5634711760766663781_n
In addition to fitness I play the cello in the local orchestra here and spend a lot of time at soccer games and football games for my kids.  I love the community that Fort Bragg has and the access to sports but I felt that there is never enough for the Moms!  That is why I am so excited to be bringing Stroller Strong Moms to Fayetteville.  I believe that when strong women come together, beautiful things happen and people grow.  I have seen it first hand and love that!
