Lyndsay Woods is a certified prenatal and postnatal group fitness instructor through AFAA, CPR/AED certified, and has over a decade of experience in fitness instruction. She is a boy mom of two, Marine spouse, and has a passion for helping Moms get strong!

She has taught hundreds of classes as an instructor since 2012 in South Carolina, Japan, North Carolina, Virginia and online. Her specialities include HIIT, cardio kickboxing, cardio strength and interval training with LOTS of energy. Lyndsay Woods | Instructor & Owner

Lyndsay Woods is a certified prenatal and postnatal group fitness instructor through AFAA, CPR/AED certified, and has over a decade of experience in fitness instruction. She is a boy mom of two, Marine spouse, and has a passion for helping Moms get strong!

She has taught hundreds of classes as an instructor since 2012 in South Carolina, Japan, North Carolina, Virginia and online. Her specialities include HIIT, cardio kickboxing, cardio strength and interval training with LOTS of energy. She strives to be healthy for her boys so that she has the energy to keep up with them!

Emily Ranch | Yoga Instructor

Emily is an ACE certified group fitness instructor and is CPR/First Aid certified. She also holds her 200hr level Yoga Teacher Certification. She grew up swimming competitively, is a former lifeguard and swim instructor/coach, and has a Bachelor’s Degree from UNC Charlotte in Education. She’s an Army Brat and brings her adventurous “try anything” attitude to each class. Emily has been an active member with SLAM DC since June 2017. Most people don’t know that she didn’t start her running journey until joining S.L.A.M.! Since then, she’s run countless 5ks, 8ks, ten milers, a sunset RAGNAR and a half marathon. She is beyond excited to instruct for SSM- combining her love of teaching, tough workouts and kiddos! Mom to two boys, she brings her passion for SLAM and welcoming smile to every class. 

Stephanie Samudio | Instructor

Stephanie Samudio is an NASM certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism 2.0 Coach. She is CPR/AED certified and holds an M.S. in Holistic Nutrition. 
She lives in Virginia with her husband, Gabriel and their two children. She completed her Master’s in Holistic Nutrition in August 2019 with a concentration on Gestational Diabetes and has 9 years of coaching under her belt to include group fitness, one-on-one training and nutrition coaching. Stephanie’s favorite way to sweat like a mother is in a heavy weights class with core training, and HIIT mixed in. She does interval runs while chasing her littles at the playground after S.L.A.M.

Vanessa Peterson | Instructor

Vanessa is a freshly certified ACE group fitness instructor and is CPR/First Aid certified.  Her true passion for overall health, fitness and wellness began when she was preparing for her wedding in 2015.  She is a proud Marine spouse and a mom of three!  

Her professional background spans from death to birth, truly, from forensics (autopsies, crime scenes, death investigations and even 911) to doula work (home births, VBAC, VBA2C and even twins)!  Vanessa seeks to serve families in unique ways and utilize all her skills to help other mamas feel their strongest, be their best.. and lift heavy stuff. 😉 You’ve done harder things! 

Vanessa personally enjoys working out at home and has also run multiple half marathons!  She loves: getting her young family outside to play, animals, Okinawa, being crunchy and showering alone. She is also working on a lactation credential in all her spare time and is fluent in sarcasm. 

Laci Sanz | Instructor

Laci Sanz is a certified Barre instructor through ABT with 4 years of group fitness instruction experience. Recently moving here from San Diego, she is looking forward to creating more memories and sharing her love of Barre with her mamas.

She is a mom of three and happily married for 7 years. In San Diego she also taught competitive dance for 10 years including ballet. In her free time she enjoys finding new adventures to explore with her family around Virginia.
