Mikayla Moreland | mikayla@sweatlikeamother.com

Mikayla is a mom to 3 kiddos and an Army spouse. Mikayla is a ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor and is certified through the American Red Cross in Basic Life Saving and First Aid. She first found her love for SLAM in Vicenza in 2021. It is true when they say you join for the workouts and stay for the community. During her SLAM journey she became pregnant with her third child and fell even more in love with what SLAM has to offer. After starting SLAM, Mikayla re-found her passion for working out and helping others so she became an instructor in Vicenza. When orders were cut for Fort Eisenhower, GA the first thing she searched for was the closest SLAM. After recommendation from fellow SLAM BOSS Steffi and Instructor Lauren, she dove straight into opening her own location in Augusta. She has truly learned from the best and looks forward to bring the village of SLAM for those in the Eisenhower/Augusta area.

Meg Gotheridge | Instructor

Meg, a proud Army spouse and mother of three, is an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor & a Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism Coach. As a graduate of the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Meg has been able to pursue an array of job opportunities with each duty station but finds the role of group fitness instructor the most rewarding. She first joined the S.L.A.M community in Savannah in 2015 and has been hooked ever since. Meg has been an instructor for the S.L.A.M community since 2020 during her time in El Paso, Texas. She continued to coach after the Army moved their family to Vicenza, Italy. Meg hopes to provide the same encouragement she first received at her initial SLAM class as she continues her coaching journey here in Augusta, Georgia.

Her favorite ways to SLAM are through dedication classes and hero workouts where we honor the achievements and sacrifices of others. I also end up enjoying sweating when peer pressured into doing something outside my comfort zone, which is probably why I have participated in Run Across Georgia twice! If there is a team event, run, or exercise I will be a happy camper. Watching women encourage other women makes me excited to be a part of something bigger than myself.

I met SLAM Augusta’s Slam Boss Mikayla while she was coaching in Vicenza. On days Mikayla was coaching I knew it was going to be a great workout. Mikaylas work outs are always fun and so effective. (my booty has been on FIRE after some of her leg days) When I started SLAM I had no idea how to workout and was freshly postpartum.  Mikayla helped me tremendously with form and alternative workouts after I had my daughter. You come to Slam for the workouts and stay for the community. I know Mikayla is going to make an amazing community in SLAM Augusta. Mikayla is not only a great Coach but also a great friend to have! Don’t be afraid to try out her classes. You wont regret it. ❤️

SLAM Augusta was something I didn’t know I needed when I got here. I’m a seasoned military mom of three and thought I could find my workout community on my own, but SLAM was just the place I needed in my life once I got here. The workouts are just what I need and the community is unmatched. I am so thankful that I get to enjoy another amazing community of moms helping moms while also getting our butts kicked in a workout.

SLAM Augusta is truly something special. The workouts are amazing, challenging, empowering, and scalable for every season of life. The only thing better than the workouts is the community. From the moment you try your first free class, you feel supported, welcomed, and seen. This is more than just a fitness group; it’s a place where motherhood doesn’t feel lonely, where friendships form naturally, and where real connections are made. You don’t just leave stronger physically, you leave feeling encouraged, uplifted, and part of something bigger. Joining SLAM Augusta was one of the best decisions I’ve made for both my body and my heart. And I 10/10 recommend it to everyone!!
