Hi, I’m Kelly! I’m a military spouse, a mom of three amazing kids, and originally from sunny Arizona—but I’ve fully embraced life here in Washington. I started with S.L.A.M. when it was ‘Tacoma’ back in 2019, and it quickly became so much more than just a workout. In 2024, I took a big leap and became both a coach and the BOSS of “Olympia’. I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity to help lead this incredible community.
I hold ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor, To Birth and Back, and CPR/First Aid/AED certifications—but beyond the certifications, my heart is in supporting other moms. Being a parent is one of the most physically and emotionally demanding jobs out there, and S.L.A.M. has been a space where I’ve found strength, encouragement, and connection—and where I’ve seen firsthand the power of moms supporting moms.
Whether you’ve never worked out in your life or you’re an experienced athlete, there’s a place for you here. I’m passionate about creating a welcoming and judgment-free space where every mama can feel strong, seen, and hyped up. This community is full of women who lift each other—literally and figuratively—and it’s an honor to be part of it.
Come sweat, laugh, grow, and do hard things with us. You belong here.

Hi, I’m Katie! An Ohio Native, Military Spouse, and Mom of two. I first started coming to SLAM with my daughter in 2021 in NC. After a cross country move in 2023, I started SLAMin’ in the PNW, and with two kids in tow! Besides the workouts, my favorite part of SLAM is playtime at the park afterwards, where I have the chance to talk with other SLAM moms and get to know them better (and of course learn a few “mom hacks” too!).
Quickly after joining SLAM, I was intrigued with the idea of coaching SLAM workouts. I became an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor in 2022. In 2024, I became a Birth & Back Movement Pro and gained additional education on supporting postpartum women during fitness activities. Coaching SLAM and connecting with strong moms has become a highlight in my weekly routine!
I was a Level 10 competitive gymnast growing up, so working out and building strength have always been a huge part of my life. I am a Registered Nurse and love being able to combine my passions for both health and fitness as a SLAM coach. I strive to create challenging and engaging work outs that go by quickly, are enjoyable, and make Mamas sore, and am known for my high energy workout style! Can’t wait to see you in the next class.

Hi, I’m Dani! I’m an Army veteran, military spouse, and mom of three. My husband and I actually met here at JBLM 11 years ago, so being back definitely feels full circle for our family. I’m originally from Missouri, but after marrying my husband and leaving the military, I now call Ohio home — go Buckeyes!
I first learned about S.L.A.M. when we were stationed at Fort Drum in 2023, where I S.L.A.M.’d for a year before we PCS’d. Joining S.L.A.M. has brought me so much joy and a real sense of belonging. I made the jump from participant to coach in June 2025. I’m an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor, as well as CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
Juggling everything life throws at us can be mentally and physically draining. I’m so glad to have found a community that not only understands that, but is also supportive — and your biggest cheerleader along the way! Come give S.L.A.M. Olympia a try — you won’t regret it!
My husband is in the military and I grew up in a military family. Moving around isn’t foreign to me, but it’s always hard to make new friends in a new place. SLAM has been a great way for me to build community and SLAM Tacoma specifically has been the place where I have met some of my favorite people! I really love being able to teach for the SLAM community and offer back some of the ways yoga has helped me. I hope to see you in a class soon! Namaste.

Hi, I’m Aysia! I’m a military spouse and mom of one — with another on the way! I’m originally from Oregon, so I love being back in the PNW. I grew up playing all kinds of sports (five at once in high school!) and have always loved a good competition. I continued with track and volleyball in college and always knew that physical fitness would be a lifelong passion.
My time at S.L.A.M. has been short, but the impact this community had on me was immediate. Attending S.L.A.M. dramatically improved both my mental and physical health after having my first baby. I knew it was something I felt passionate about and wanted to fully commit to!
I became an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor in June 2025 and have loved encouraging other mamas to do and be their best. There’s truly nothing better than seeing strong women empower one another to crush a tough workout. I hope to see you at the next class!

Hi, I’m Katie J! A military spouse, and Mama to 5 wild kids, plus one bonus daughter. I started with S.L.A.M. way back in 2015 at SLAM Savannah. It was my first experience with group fitness, and it quite literally changed my life. Prior to that I had never been physically active- I was the girl who walked my mile assessment to chat with friends.
In 2021, with encouragement from my dear friend, I transitioned from member to coach. I am currently an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Barre certified,To Birth and Back, and CPR/First Aid/AED certified. My prior education/work experience is in Social Work and I truly believe my passion is in PEOPLE! Getting to coach my fellow Mamas, and cheer them on is beyond rewarding, and encourages me to continuously evolve too!
Fun fact! SLAM Olympia is actually my 4th different SLAM affiliate, and I have been involved with SLAM for over a decade now.
SLAM has been an integral part of my life, especially as a military family. Throughout numerous moves it has been an immediate community, an instant home, a sense of belonging, and place for my mat no matter where we roam.
As a coach I strive to design empowering, high-energy classes built on praise and positivity. My goal is to ensure every member leaves feeling proud, supported, and physically stronger.
I am honored to be a small part of the magic that is… SLAM!
SLAM has introduced me to some of the most inspiring, motivating, and badass mothers I’ve ever met! I love the awesome and challenging workouts, but even more I love the lifelong friendships I’ve made.
