Kristen Ramsey | Instructor

Kristen Ramsey has been a certified ASFA group fitness instructor since February 2017. She has a healthcare status CPR/AED certification through American Heart Association. She and her family are from Phenix City, AL. (Across the bridge from our Uptown class location) Kristen has been “sweating like a mother” since 2015 following the birth of her son Mac. She and her husband John Mark welcomed their second child in 2018. Her favorite ways to sweat are S.L.A.M. classes, long runs, and outside time with the family!

Bryana Bruner | Instructor

Bryana first started coming to S.L.A.M. when her oldest was 6 weeks old. She heard about the group from a friend and knew throughout her pregnancy that it was something she wanted to be a part of! She cheered and danced since she was 4 years old and ran track in high school. Bryana grew up in western Maryland but her heart is in West Virginia where she attended West Virginia University and also where she met her husband, Stephen. Bryana and Stephen have two amazing children, Luke and Sarah. She enjoys fitness, but enjoys motherhood even more. Which is why S.L.A.M. has been such a blessing! Her husband, Stephen, has recently started working evening shifts so S.L.A.M. has truly become a family affair for the Bruners every morning! Running has always been her outlet and favorite workout but S.L.A.M. has opened her eyes to all that her body is actually capable of! Her favorite classes will always involve lots of cardio though! Bryana doesn’t know what motherhood is without S.L.A.M. These amazing mamas have shown her friendship, a listening ear, an encouraging word, and a constant reminder that mothers are so so STRONG!

Taylor Yates | Instructor

Taylor is an ASFA certified group fitness instructor. She and her husband, Ryan, have two boys Rhett and Colt. As a former Division 1 soccer player, fitness has always had a major role in her life. When she had her first son in 2016, she struggled with her identity as a new mom. She was missing that “team” environment she had always known, and it was isolating. She started coming to S.L.A.M. in 2019 and found the “team” that she was missing. S.L.A.M. fosters Taylor’s love for meeting new people and friendly competition, which challenges her to be her best self. Her favorite ways to S.L.A.M. are HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), weight training and running.

Stephanie Heller | Instructor

Stephanie is an IFTA certified group fitness instructor. She is CPR/AED certified. Stephanie and her husband, Andrew moved to Columbus with their family. Stephanie loves motivating and cheering others to reach their goals. She has been “Sweating Like A Mother” since 2018.
“This is so much more than a workout group. It’s a community of like minded women who support each other through it all. “ Stephanie’s favorite ways to sweat are S.L.A.M. class and running.

Great group of ladies to get your sweat on with! So encouraging and motivating. Definitely suitable for ALL fitness levels. This isn’t “just a group of moms” come prepared to push yourself and build your confidence and endurance up!

As a “work-from-home” mom I only have a limited amount of time for things outside the home; this couldn’t be a better compromise to getting time with other moms, socialization for my daughter, and oh yeah a stinking good workout!!! My hubby even came to a class and vouched for its legitimacy. The coaches are fabulous and remember your name just after ONE class and truly make you feel like a valued member from day one. I love it and would recommend it to everyone of every kind of shape – heck, I started the first time back when I was 32 weeks pregnant!
