SLAM Boss

Kelsey is an ACE-certified Group Fitness Instructor and is CPR/AED certified through the American Red Cross. She grew up in a small ranch town on the Western Slope of Colorado and is a University of Denver alumni! She married her high school sweetheart and became a proud military spouse in 2012. Over the next several years, she became a mama to three beautiful kids. Thanks to the military, she’s lived on both coasts and is STOKED to be back in the Rocky Mountains!

In 2017, she was introduced to S.L.A.M. in North Carolina, and fell in love with it and everything it represents. She loves that it reminds mamas how strong they are in this season of life ON TOP of being amazing moms – that they’re all athletes and powerful, important parts of their communities. And they all deserve time to sweat. She thinks it’s incredible the way S.L.A.M. combines challenging workouts with an always-welcoming environment that forges lifelong friendships and the strongest support systems. It was all these things combined with unstoppable, inspiring S.L.A.M. bosses and instructors as well as consistently S.L.A.M.ing in Tacoma for two years (including through her third pregnancy) that lead her to become an instructor in 2020. When she found out her family would be moving back to Denver in 2021, she knew she couldn’t wait to share the power of S.L.A.M. with mile high mamas!

Before choosing to be a stay-at-home-mom with her three kids, she worked at the National Strength and Conditioning Association and STARZ Entertainment. She grew up constantly on the court or field playing volleyball, basketball, and competing in track and field, so sweating alongside her friends (with a little competition sprinkled in) is one of her favorite places to be.

The other ways she loves to sweat include HIIT, heavy weights days, running with exceptionally loud music, hiking, and taco eating. And she can’t wait to sweat with you!
